Open titles. He was the first player to do so since
Ben Hogan (in 1950-51). Curtis Strange was a three
time recipient of the Arnold Palmer award as the PGA
Tour's leading money winner in 1985, 1987 and 1988.
He was also the Golf Writers Player of the Year
during those same three years. In 1988 Curtis
Strange was named PGA Player of the Year. He was a
member of 5 Ryder Cup teams.
