Congratulations to Martin Kaymer who won the PGA championship at Whistling Straits in a three-hole playoff over Bubba Watson. The playoff would have also included Dustin Johnson, before he received a two shot penalty for grounding his club in a bunker, that should have been considered a waste area.
Listen to Van Sickle on Bunkergate.
Martin Kymer winning is not a surprise. I watched him in the British Open, and commented in a previous blog entry. He is a young strong golfer with a great swing. At the British Open he missed a lot of putts. Apparently he has fixed that problem. Watch for more of Martin Kymer in the future.
As far as Tiger and Phil are concerned, I believe their futures are questionable. They are growing older and have numerous health issues. The 2010 PGA Championship was dominated by younger golfers. I believe that is the future.
